Staying true to our commitment to being youth led, The A-list has several different jobs that allow teens to help manage the organization. Whether it’s helping plan a new program, leading an event, or working with the Board of Directors to develop new strategy, these roles are designed to teach teens advanced business skills that will give them an advantage on the competition.
Three Different Roles
The A-list has three different youth leadership jobs.
- Teen Director: Teen directors are paired one-on-one with a member of the executive staff to gain hands on managerial experience by helping plan events and activities as well as aiding in overseeing the shop operations. Learn more by reading the job description.
- Youth Advisory Board Member: Youth advisory board members serve on The A-list advisory board and, like the adult members, serve as a sounding board for The A-list executive team. Serving as the voice of youth, they help solve problems and develop innovative ways to engage teens. Learn more by reading the job description.
- Youth Liaison to the Board of Directors: As the highest role for youth at The A-list, the youth liaison works with the other Board members to help set overall strategy for the organization and oversee its finances. Learn more by reading the job description.
Who Can Work in the Youth Leadership Jobs?
Each role has its own unique requirements, but these roles are generally designed for older youth ages 16-18. Previous experience in a business setting is required as well as strong leadership, communication skills, and the ability to perform planning and problem-solving.
