Developing Shirts for Friends and Businesses
Apparel design jobs are a great way for youth to get a job, learn a new skill, and increase their artistic talents. In this role, they will help other teens design and create their own customized shirts while also designing and creating larger orders for our business clients. Many of our apparel design workers will eventually move into our youth leadership jobs.
Working in Apparel Design
Typical tasks for apparel design employees include:
- Working with customers on t-shirt design
- Designing and creating custom screen-printed t-shirts
- Assisting in preparing the shop for business each day
- Cleaning up the shop at the end of the day
- Helping with programs and activities at The A-list

Who Can Work in Apparel Design?
Although our apparel design jobs are open to anyone, the positions are generally designed as a first experience for younger youth in the 14-16 age range.
Applicants should display or demonstrate potential in several key skills areas such as leadership, communication, and teamwork.
