When a teen comes into The A-list to grab a snack, the first person they will encounter is you. Working at the snack counter, you are the face of the organization helping teens feed their hunger or quench their thirst in a friendly and helpful manner. You are the face of the organization while working at the snack counter, and help teens curb their appetite or quench their thirst in a friendly and helpful manner.

Learn Basic Business Skills

Our snack counter jobs are a great way for younger youth to get involved, make some money, and begin learning basic business skills. Many of our snack counter workers will eventually move into our youth leadership jobs.

Working at the Snack Counter

Typical tasks for snack counter employees include:

  • Preparing food for customers
  • Serving customers at the snack counter
  • Assisting in preparing the shop for business each day
  • Cleaning up the shop at the end of the day
  • Helping with programs and activities at The A-list

Who Can Work at the Snack Counter?

Although our snack counter jobs are open to anyone, the positions are generally designed as a first experience for younger youth in the 14-16 age range. Applicants should display or demonstrate potential in several key skills areas such as leadership, communication, and teamwork while having strong organization and personal skills.
